Having Kelli as a big sister provides Olivia the opportunity to have someone to spend focused time with who “belongs” to just her. They clicked with each other from the start and Olivia always looks forward to spending time with Kelli. Their relationship as “big and little” has transformed into a sweet friendship.
I don’t know if Kelli realizes how much I treasure her friendship with Olivia .The past few years have been difficult for all of my children as they watched their dad battle cancer. He lost his battle in June of 2011. With Kelli, Olivia is able to get away from it all and find time to relax, laugh, and enjoy herself. It comforts me to know that Olivia has this time. I believe this relationship helps Olivia find value in herself as a person. I know Kelli is busy working and going to college but she stays committed to finding the time to spend with Olivia.
